Romantic Weekend
Couples get so busy with work, family, friends and other daily obligations that they don’t have any time for each other. For a loving relationship to thrive, it is important that you nurture your love, by sharing some intimate time together. Sometimes the best thing to do to energize your relationship is to go away for a romantic weekend together!
A weekend away can be very romantic for a couple! You don’t have to go far or spend much money to have a nice time. The important thing is that you are together! One of the best romantic weekend ideas is to go to a cottage somewhere. When looking for a nice cottage to stay at, just search on the Internet and see what you can find. On various cottage websites, you will see pictures of the cottages and you will get a feel for what they are like.
The best features to look for when renting a cottage is that it is both affordable and not too far from home. Most people who go away for the weekend, leave after work on Friday, and so if the cottage is only and hour or two away, it is very convenient to get there for Friday night. It is also nice to have a kitchenette in the cottage so that you can bring your own favorite foods with you to prepare! If by chance the cottage is by the water or in the woods, which is always very romantic. Some cottages even have a fireplace and a Jacuzzi, which is even better!
Once you find the cottage you like and have rented it, you need to pack. Bring outdoor clothing and comfortable shoes with you in case you want to go for a walk on a nearby trail. It does not hurt to bring boots, an umbrella and raincoats just in case. Depending on the time of year, a hat, gloves and insect repellant are all helpful. If it is summer, be sure to bring summer clothing including hats, sunscreen and swimsuits. You want to be able to enjoy yourselves outside and connect with nature as you renew your love! You may want to bring an outfit to dress up in, in case you go out for dinner somewhere one of the nights.
Bring CD’s with you and a CD player, as music creates a passionate atmosphere. Get some romantic bath products and bring them with you. Body butters, bubble bath, lotions and message oils are all good things to have with you. It is nice to bring some candles too. Scented pillar candles and some dinner candles and matches or a lighter are good to take with you. Bring food for brunch and dinner for 2 days and some snacks that you both like to eat. Don’t forget to bring 2-3 bottles of wine or any other alcohol that you both like. (On that note, make sure the family planning supplies are in order, if you don’t want reproduce on this magical weekend)
On the topic of clothing, bring some sexy lingerie with you, perhaps something new that your boyfriend has never seen before. This will surely revitalize your love life! It does not hurt to bring some chocolates with you too, as they can be romantic to enjoy with the wine!
